  Livi, this is not your post. Although you are of course, always welcome to read everything here.

  So, I know I’m a mom.  A MILF, if you ask tmtm [but most people don’t].

  I know it’s something I will probably never change, and part of the reason why a couple of my very close friends are such needy people. I’m not going to name any names, haha. I really only have one and a half in mind at WM, haha.

  And I’m not even very good friends with this girl. She’s a cutie. And if she is happy, and he is happy, then I am happy for the both of them. And I want to tell her what I really think, sort of like I wish the one I’m always mothering had told me, whether that’s what she really thought or not.

  But that whole circle told me what you all thought was best. And I didn’t listen to any of you. I doubt she’ll listen to me, especially ‘cause we’re not that close. And chances are it will come off sounding like sour grapes more than anything else.

  And I really, honestly, don’t regret a minute of it. The only reason I would change anything is because I think I hurt his him. Then again, I’m not even sure about that.

  And I really do appreciate hearing about it before it happens. Whatever it is. Diti [if you still ever go on here?] maybe that’s why he’s been sort of appearing a lot recently again? That would be a good reason. Well, as good as any.

  If they are happy, than I am happy.

  What I am not happy about is that he’s hurting Mollymolly. God, of all people to be mean to…she doesn’t deserve it! C’mon, would you grow up a little bit!? And you know! I told you! Is it because she reminds you too much of her? You know, we had a […very, very, brief, sort of almost] civil conversation the other day! [We got in each others way in the hallway, and I apologized and she said no problem. Still, better than her telling me to go die in a hole.] Just because they’ve both undergone a similar, tragic hardship that I wouldn’t wish upon my worst enemy does not mean they are the same person. And I don’t know her, she could be a terrific person. I would never say she’s not.

  But I know that Mollymolly is the sweetest, kindest person that I know. I really don’t think she has a single malicious thought go through her head. And from my conversation with Mollymolly, I think that by hurting her, you’re hurting your chances with her friend.

  And also, as previously stated, I’m a mom. If you keep hurting my baby sophomore who doesn’t know how to stand up for herself, I’m going to come after you, whatever happened between us aside. And I’m going to pull a Tess, ‘cause she did [however ineffectively] try to look out for me in the end. Back off. Mollymolly doesn’t need you to be bullying her.

  As for the other sophomore, I hope both of you are happy, where ever that takes you.

  Oh, baby.

  I was lying on my den floor, watching this really cool a cappella show. It’s american idol, but they skipped the auditions, and it’s groups. That sing a cappella. And it’s only four episodes. We’ll watch it when you come back.

  Anyway, I’m laying on the floor, watching this show, and it’s just started so I was kind of excited. And the doorbell rang, and I was really hoping someone else was going to get it, but no one did. So I got up to get it, in the middle of the first performance, kind of ticked off ‘cause I was sure it wasn’t for me, at 8:15.

  Well, it was.

  It was your Papa, Liv.

  And he gave me giant Cadbury chocolate, bar? Plural, bars? I’m not sure, I haven’t opened it yet. And Cadbury hot chocolate, and showed us so many pictures, and told us all about you and Belgium and everything you did, and your family, and everything. Livi, you look gorgeous, and beautiful, and so happy.

  And my mom and my dad and I all crowded around him and leaned over his shoulder so we could see all your pictures on the camera. I don’t know if I’ve seen that blue coat before? It’s beautiful. You’re beautiful.

  You did not tell me that your host family had a dog named Melbourne Jack, too. For a second I thought your dad pointed at Anton [spelling?], and said Jack, and I was like, “WAIT, HE MET YOUR EX-STONER AUSTRALIAN LOVER!?” But don’t worry. I didn’t say anything out loud. And then I figured it out.

  Reeni didn’t come inside, and he said he had to go one more place, so he left after around fifteen minutes.

  And the second he walked out the door, I burst out sobbing.

  So, I think we’re even now.

  I’m off to make hot chocolate and nosh on my Cadbury, and try not to eat all 400g in one night.

  I love you, Livi. And I miss you so much. And I’m already crying again, so I’m not going to go on about how much I miss you. But know that I do, and your two letter will probably be in the mail either tomorrow or the day after.

  I'm trying [and failing] to do my focus questions,

  and I was just thinking about the PSATs, ‘cause so many people are bugging that there’s aren’t up. I don’t know why mine are.

  And PSATs led to National Merit, which led to college, which led to seniors, which led to this years seniors.

  Like some of you guys.

  And I was just wondering, won’t it be sort of weird? When we don’t at least pass each other in the hallways, and maybe sometimes stop to make small talk? And always at least smile. [For me, at least. I know a lot of you are much closer.]

  When we don’t have the same experiences to share, at all? Not the same show, or a mutual friend, or the pain of focus questions?

  Maybe this is the sort of realizations you have all been having already, or even that all of the juniors here are making too, and I’m just way behind for once. But I don’t know. I was talking with a friend who just came back to three village who I went to Montessori with, and it just hit me again how old we are, even though we’re not really.

  It’s more than a little daunting, you know?

  This is a hard question. Boy? Hmm…I guess maybe in Pearl River. Girl? This has got to be a tie, between Belgium and Spain. With three [far away] runner ups, in Livingston, Conn. and just outside of Boston.
